Narciso Rodriguez Perfume
Narciso Rodriguez is an American fashion designer who made his breakthrough in the fashion industry when he designed a wedding gown for his good friend, Carolyn Kennedy in September 1996. This jesture is one of the factors that triggered Narciso to establish his own product line after working with signature companies Anne Klein, Cerruti, and Calvin Klein, since 1985.
Narciso Rodriguez ventured to start a company under his name in 1997, the same year when he was awarded as the Hispanic Designer of the Year and the Best New Designer by Vogue Fashion Award. He also won the Perry Ellis Award for "Best New Designer" and "Women’s Wear Designer" of the year, in 2002 and 2003 by the Council of Fashion Designers in America.
He continued to make noise in the fashion industry as he designed haute couture gowns for celebrities like Salma Hayek, Rachel Weisz, and Sarah Jessica Parker. These gowns flatter the figures of these women and were attracted public attention, which added to his reputation as one of the most renowned designer of his time.
In 2003, Narciso Rodriguez launched his first perfume product as part of the company’s expansion in collaboration with Shiseido’s Beauté Prestige International Division. The scent was named as “For Her”, which Narciso Rodriguez describes as his tribute to the femininity prowess and is for all kinds of women. This perfume has a unique aroma which aims to convey a story, for Narciso Rodriguez believes that every scent should have a story to tell.
For Her is a Eau de Parfume which has the Egyptian Musk as its core aroma. This fragrance note is also in the other derivations of the for her like in: Musc for her (the oil), her eau de toilette, her eau de parfum intense, and her purse perfume.
Other assortment of For Her product lines include the bath line like: her shower gel, her body lotion, her body cream, her deodorant, and her hair mist.
Four years after the success of for her perfume products, Narciso Rodriguez created a male counterpart for it, called “For Him”. Egyptian musk is also used as the primary fragrance note in the Musc for him (oil), for him eau de toilette, and for him eau de parfum.
Other derivations of Narciso Rodriguez for him include the deodorant stick, all over shower gel, after shave emulsion, and after shave lotion.
Essences for women were also made with the same Egyptian Musk inspiration but are more subtle as it is combined with the sweet floral scents like amber, citrus and iris notes. It is available in oil (musc) and eau de parfum formulations. Essences also have product lines such as deodorant, body lotions, shower gel and body cream.
Narciso Rodriguez continues to produce fashion pieces of superior excellence which made him to be patronized by elite and influential clients like Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama, who were wearing dresses created by Narciso Rodriguez himself.
